My new Blue Thunder 351C-4V intake manifold.

"Probably the best street performance intake for a Cleveland"

Some pictures of my new intake manifold.
It is a CNC machined Blue Thunder aluminum intake and
its a improved knock off of the Shelby performance intake from back then.
Its not a copy of the aluminum BOSS-intake which is a direct knock off of the cast iron 4V-intake.
This intake is about 1" taller than stock with improved runners and bigger plenum.
Better flow than stock.
No loss at bottom end and improved mid range power.
CNCmachined surfaces for perfect fit.

Weight is 18 pounds or 9 kg.
Original weigth for the 4v-intake is 40 pounds or 20 kg.
0-6800 rpm.
Should improve with abt. 30hp.

Here is some pics, its beautiful, A piece of art.

The Dyno shootout BOSS 302 vs BOSS 351!

A shootout with a pair of the stock rebuilt legendary Ford engines.
The BOSS 302 was rated to 290 hp but in this dyno it got 374 hp.
The BOSS 351 was rated to 330 hp but in this dyno it got 383 hp.
The story that Ford didnt state the true hp back in the days seems to be true.

Impressive.

"It was awesome to see and hear these legendary Ford engines run in anger, and the Boss 351 demonstrated its worth by producing 383 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. This output made it not only more powerful than the Boss 302 (by 9 hp), but arguably the most powerful muscle car small-block ever offered!"
